Anthony Piña has experience at all levels of online/distance education and educational technology, including as a K-12 teacher and technology coordinator, college/university faculty member, instructional designer, multimedia developer, trainer and administrator/manager. He currently serves as the academic leader of online learning at one of Kentucky's largest private universities, overseeing the development and delivery of over 500 online courses and 28 online degree programs taught by over 150 faculty to more than 3,000 students.
Tony has professional experience in both corporate and academic environments and has worked at the K-12, community college and university levels. He has experience in both non-profit and for-profit education sectors.
He has developed multiple online degree programs and has established training programs, service centers an instructional design department a prior learning assessment program and numerous campus and multi-institutional initiatives.
Tony has served as a member of AECT's Board of Directors, Strategic Planning Committee, Conference Planning Committee, Leadership Development Committee and two elected terms as President of the Division of Distance Learning. He also has served on the advisory boards of a charter school, and education foundation and a technical college.
