Dear colleagues,

As co-editors of an upcoming book entitled Student-Centered Virtual Learning Environments in Higher Education (to be published by IGI Global in 2018), please consider submitting chapter proposals. The main objective of our book is founded on connecting contextual analyses of student-centered online instruction with quality assurance principles in higher education. We are hoping to have a range of chapters that feature pertinent information from actual examples of emerging principles and practices related to designing, implementing, and evaluating virtual teaching and learning. In terms of the target audience, we welcome proposals from online/blended/hybrid program faculty and administrators, as well as instructional designers in higher education. Additionally, graduate students (in-service teachers, school administrators, and adult learning/training specialists) who prepare in Web-based teaching and learning would benefit from the balanced mix of theory and practical applications included in this book.

As far as the submission process is concerned, researchers and practitioners are invited to submit by June 15th, 2017 a 1,000-2,000 word chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of their proposed chapters. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by August 1st, 2017 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 15th, 2017. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration – looking forward to your proposals!
